Candid Connections: A Space for Honest Conversations Across Borders

One of the most energising developments this year has been the growth of Candid Connections, our informal monthly gathering open to all members of the IFS global network.

Held online on the last Wednesday of every month, Candid Connections offers a welcoming space for:

  • Open, unfiltered conversation
  • Peer support and shared learning
  • Honest dialogue around real-life challenges in community work

Our first sessions explored vital topics including:

  • Advocacy and public messaging
  • Cultural sensitivity and inclusive language
  • Organisational challenges and cross-cultural engagement

What makes these sessions special? There’s no set agenda — just space to show up, share what matters, and be heard.
