Connect Locally. Learn Globally. Act Together.
IFS brings together settlement houses, neighbourhood houses, neighbourhood centres, community centres and community organisations, together with the federations, associations and peak bodies that represent them.
Membership creates opportunities to build international relationships, exchange knowledge, strengthen locally led practice and contribute to collective action on social justice, human rights and shared global challenges.
Whether you represent a local organisation, a federation or peak body, or want to participate as an individual, there is a pathway for you to become part of the IFS Global Network.
Why Join IFS?
IFS membership connects people and organisations with an international community grounded in local experience.
Find Your Membership Pathway
IFS offers paid membership for organisations and individuals. Local organisations belonging to a participating IFS federation, association or peak body may already qualify for free Associate Membership
Already Connected Through a Member Network?
Did you know Local organisations belonging to a participating IFS federation, association, or peak body automatically receive free Associate Membership?
Associate Members can connect with the wider IFS network and participate in relevant learning, exchange, communications and network activities. Associate Membership is non-voting unless the organisation joins IFS directly as an organisational member.
To make the most of your Associate Membership, contact your federation, association, or peak body and ask to be connected to IFS communications, regional meetings, activities, and upcoming events.
Organisational Membership
For settlement houses, neighbourhood houses, neighbourhood centres, community centres, community organisations, federations, associations and peak bodies joining IFS directly.
Organisational membership fees are based on annual operating income or budget, helping organisations of different sizes participate equitably.
