Support for Ukraine
During its Board Meeting in Romania, the IFS representatives witnessed the work and effort to support Ukrainian refugees and their families.
Although the country is not rich, Romania has done its best to help support refugees. There are currently more than 70 000 of them in the country. Organizations, authorities and citizens came together to find ways and showed the will to work together to support refugees.
The IFS representatives visited one of Caritas centers working with Ukrainian children. The workers spoke about their work with the children, their projects and their need for support. A video conversation with youth workers in Ukraine has shown the great need for external support. The weekly contact between IFS members and Ukrainians will be continued and developed. The IFS is actively involved in sending as much needed support as possible.
