Dear sisters and brothers
We are watching the news from the USA in the grip of growing anxiety. How is it possible that once again, the old wounds of structural racism and discrimination are open? And how is it possible that the police forces that are supposed to be the last defenders of safety, order and justice can break these principles so grossly? It is difficult to believe and impossible to accept.
On Behalf of the international IFS family, I want to express our deep compassion and support to those who now fight on the front lines to protect people´s rights for a safe and decent life.
Our warm thoughts and support are with you in Minneapolis Pillsbury United Communities and with all our dear colleagues and friends in the USA. We believe that the change will come, and it must happen.
Our task as members of this people’s movement is to encourage others to join and stand firm behind our values. Violence, guns, and tear gas are not the answer to the problems of this world. We know that by protecting democracy and equality, we work for a better world. A world where all human beings are unique and valuable.

Nous regardons les informations des États-Unis avec une anxiété croissante. Comment est-il possible qu’une fois de plus, les vieilles blessures récurrentes du racisme et de la discrimination se réouvrent ? Et comment est-il possible que les forces de police qui sont supposés être les derniers défenseurs de la sécurité, de l’ordre et de la justice puissent enfreindre ces principes aussi grossièrement ? C’est difficile à croire et impossible à accepter.
Au nom du mouvement international de l’IFS, je tiens à exprimer notre profonde compassion et notre soutien à ceux qui se battent désormais en première ligne pour protéger les droits des personnes pour une vie meilleure et décente. Nos pensées chaleureuses et notre soutien sont avec vous à Pillsbury United Communities et tous nos chers collègues et amis des États-Unis. Nous pensons que le changement viendra et qu’il doit arriver.
Notre tâche en tant que membres de ce mouvement populaire est d’encourager les autres à adhérer à nos valeurs et à les défendre. La violence, les armes à feu et les gaz lacrymogènes ne sont pas la réponse aux problèmes de ce monde. Nous savons qu’en protégeant la démocratie et l’égalité, nous travaillons pour un monde meilleur. Un monde où tous les êtres humains sont uniques et précieux.
