IFS is proud to share that our Board Secretary, Tony Armstrong, has been honoured in the King’s Honours List, a national recognition celebrating individuals making significant contributions to their communities.

Tony’s leadership spans decades of commitment to local development and equity. Since 2014, he has served as CEO of Locality, a national UK network supporting community organisations. His work has helped communities grow stronger, more connected, and better equipped to face local challenges.

Before Locality, Tony led Living Streets, a national charity advocating for walkable, people-friendly communities, and previously worked as a civil servant focused on neighbourhood regeneration and health improvement.

His inclusion in the King’s Honours is a well-deserved recognition of the deep, lasting impact he has made both in the UK and internationally.

Tony continues to bring this vision and dedication to the global IFS network as we work together to empower neighbourhood centres across the world.

Congratulations, Tony!

Your IFS community celebrates you.
