The IFS Communications Resources page brings together guidance, templates and practical tools to support clear, consistent and accessible communication across the IFS Global Network.
These resources are designed for Board members, staff, regional networks, working groups, member organisations, Associate Members and volunteers communicating about IFS or contributing content to its website, publications and digital channels.
The collection will support users to explain who IFS is, communicate its purpose and activities, apply its public identity consistently, share stories responsibly and create accessible content for diverse international audiences.
Communications resources will continue to evolve as the IFS identity, network and communication needs develop. Users should check this page to ensure they are working with the current version of each resource.
Note some resources reflect IFS messaging and network information used histrocialy. Visitors should refer to the current IFS website for the latest organisational description, terminology and verified network figures.
IFS Pitch Deck and Messaging Guide
An earlier IFS communications resource developed to help members, leaders, staff and volunteers explain who IFS is, why locally rooted community organisations matter and how the global network creates value.
The guide includes core messages, elevator pitches, audience-specific language, preferred terminology, frequently asked questions, stories and guidance for communicating with members, funders and volunteers.
The resource remains a useful foundation for IFS communications. Some terminology, organisational descriptions and impact figures will continue to be reviewed and updated as the IFS public identity, evidence base and communications approach evolve.

Settlement Houses in Action Conference Poster
Settlement Houses in Action: A Global Approach to Community Development was developed for the 2026 World Community Development Conference in Glasgow.
The poster explores how settlement houses and neighbourhood centres create community impact in different countries while sharing a common philosophy grounded in relationships, lived experience, community participation and action on the underlying causes of inequality.
It provides an example of how IFS conference materials can communicate the connection between locally rooted community development and international learning, cooperation and advocacy.
