Junias Kanyinda recently sat down with Ms. Tarja Halonen, former President of Finland and IFS Ambassador, in her Helsinki office. A dedicated advocate for human rights and democracy, President Halonen has played a crucial role in advancing progressive policies and sustainable development.
She has a strong connection to the Settlement Movement and has significantly influenced the Finnish Federation of Settlement Houses through her roles as former chairman and current honorary chairperson. President Halonen continues to champion equality and social justice.
