Mental Health Services at Goddard Riverside 

Shelly Brenner will provide an overview of Goddard Riverside’s mental health programs and their service deliverables for individuals experiencing mental illness along a continuum of care. The programs are founded in evidence-based practices and strive to achieve a transformational impact for their participants. She will discuss best practices as well as review their unique, non-traditional approaches to mental health treatment.

Shelly Brenner, LMSW, Associate Deputy Executive Director. Goddard Riverside Community Center NYC, USA.

Goddard Riverside Community Center invests in people and strengthens the community through its 32 programs across 26 sites located in Manhattan and Queens. We work within a social justice framework to create a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families.

Shelly Brenner, LMSW, has over 15 years of experience as a leader in the social services field working with a variety of vulnerable populations. In her current role, as Associate Deputy Executive Director of Adult and Community Development at Goddard Riverside, she directly oversees three mental health programs including a licensed Article 31 clinic and social enterprise business as well as the Resource Center.

 

Roy Douglas Otieno  – is the Executive Director of TINADA Youth Organization, working in Western Kenya and also the Board Member of IFS.  Roy is a Mental Health Advocate and Champion promoting and supporting the delivery of mental health in Kenya.
